A ZeroFront subscription runs for 30 or 90 days. Before you pay, every phone gets a 24-hour trial so you can check how Generals runs on your device. One subscription works on one phone, and you buy and renew it in the bot @generals_mobile_bot, where the current price and payment methods are listed. The app itself is free: you only pay for access to the game.
Plans
| Option | Length | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Trial | 24 hours, no payment | once per device |
| 30-day subscription | 30 days | renew in the bot |
| 90-day subscription | 90 days | the longer plan works out cheaper per day |
| Moving to a new phone | one-time | paid, done in the bot |
Prices are shown in the bot when you pick a plan.
What you pay for
The subscription unlocks the original 2003 game through our hub: Zero Hour on your phone, the base Generals and tested mods. There are no in-game purchases, same as on PC. This has nothing to do with store clones like "Generals: Art of War", which are a different game with their own payment model. Here you pay a fixed amount for a period and don't buy anything else, except a transfer when you change phones.
How the trial works
Install the app using the install guide and start the free trial on first launch. Your 24 hours start then. Use them for the essentials:
- set up your Generals and Zero Hour folders;
- play a couple of matches against the AI;
- see how the game runs on your phone;
- if you want a mod, launch it, for example Contra 009;
- if you play with friends, try a match over Wi-Fi.
We don't list hardware requirements, so the trial is the best way to find out whether your phone is up to it.
After the trial
When the 24 hours are up, the game won't launch until you enter a key. Your game files stay on the phone: they're your data, and the app doesn't delete them. The trial can't be started again on the same device.
To keep playing, get a subscription in the bot. The bot gives you a ZF-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX key to enter in the app. If the game closes even with a valid key, see our rundown of common errors: it explains how the subscription check works.
One device, and moving to a new phone
A key is tied to one phone. You can't run one subscription on two devices: a second phone needs its own.
If you change phones, the key can be moved to the new one for a fee, done in the bot. You'll need to copy the game files to the new phone again.
Renewal
You renew in the bot. Pick 30 or 90 days and pay. If you have questions about payment or your key, contact support in the bot.
Private player chat
Subscribers get access to a private player chat. People set up multiplayer matches there, share settings and ask questions. You get the invite through the bot once you've subscribed.
FAQ
Can I play without a subscription?
Only for the 24-hour trial, once per device. After that you need a key, which the bot issues after payment.
What does the subscription include?
Running Generals and Zero Hour in ZeroFront on one phone, the tested mods Contra 009 Final and Contra 007, LAN play and Generals Online sign-in from the hub. Plus support in the bot and the private player chat.
Are the game files included?
No. You copy the Generals and Zero Hour files from your own copy on Steam or the EA App. The site and the bot don't distribute the game.
Can I move my subscription to another phone?
Yes. The transfer is paid and done in the bot. After that the key stops working on the old device.
Where do I renew?
In @generals_mobile_bot. The APK, guides and support are there too.
Open @generals_mobile_bot and start your 24-hour trial: you only pay if the game works for you. What exactly runs is on the home page.
